Just a few notes about our calculator:

1)  Most importantly, you MUST use Internet Explorer.  The calculator will not respond well (or sometimes at all) if you are using Firefox or other browsers.

2)  Not all of the fields need to be entered to do a quick calculation of your savings.
    a)  You will need the Original Loan Amount, Current Interest Rate, Length of Loan, Number of Payments Made and Total Monthly Payment.

b)  Tab between the entries so that the calculations will be performed.
    c)  Once you enter the Total Monthly Payment and hit Tab, it will calculate and fill in the monthly principal and interest and Escrow Amount.  This should reflect your currently payment breakdown.
    d)  Enter 0 in the Additional Bi-weekly Amount, then Tab to the Calculate button.
    e)  Hit the Calculate button and you will get a full report immediately on your screen.

Please read the full report.  It gives you a wealth of information, but here is a basic explanation:

The first chart shows a summary of the information you entered. The last entry shows what your bi-weekly payment would be.
The second chart shows a comparison of the status of your mortgage throughout the term comparing making the Standard Monthly Payment versus the Bi-weekly Payment.

The first set of columns shows a comparison of the Loan Balance and the second set shows a comparison of the Equity Buildup.  (If you go back to the original form and enter an amount in the Additional Bi-Weekly Payment field, this chart will show how quickly that will affect the pay off.)
The third chart is a graphic representation of the payoff comparison.
The fourth chart shows a summary comparison of the number of years to payoff, total cost of the loan, total interest paid, total interest saved, net effective interest rate and percent of interest saved.
►  The information following the fourth chart helps explain your specific situation in different terms.
